My first 3 weeks were spent in Sydney at our house in Hoxton Park, practicing, practicing, and practicing. I still havent seen the Opera House actually! We had a few concerts in those first weeks, but it wasnt until my very first tour with Endless Praise that I really understood what it was that we do most of the year.
We left on a Friday morning early and drove 10 hours to Melbourne. Then we did a concert Saturday, 2 Sunday and traveled all day Monday. I took my first train ever! We took one into the city and I got my hair cut (Which was already quite short, but it needed shaping... The EP managers think thin hair is better than no hair.... -_-) The hair cut was an experience. Me and Brooke got 50% off for singing to them afterward. I will never get my haircut again without trying to get that discount.
We took a bus to the airport and flew to Tasmania, a small island off the southern coast of Australia, which is one of its states. It was beautiful. We stayed in an old insane asylum for a few days. It was actually realy cool, but kinda creepy. After that it was concerts, concerts and more concerts. I got to meet so many beautiful people that opened their homes to us as we went from city to city, school to school, church to church. The tour in "Tassie" lasted about 3 weeks and we began our trip back to Sydney.
My favorite part of the tour around Tassie was when a little catholic school in the mountains lodged us in the Lakeside Chalet. It was gorgeous. It was basically a little cute lodge surrounded by a lake, which was surrounded by mountains. That night we went swimming and the water was perfect. It was probaby the most scenic swim I have ever had. I will post my pictures that I had on Instagram from that tour soon.
Since being here Ive learned that I have to get past my insecurities and embrace all the things Im self conscious about. If you know me then you know what Im talking about. If you are unsure... Its called moving my body to music in any other way than a rigid clap, standing while playing keyboard, playing and singing at the same time, wearing clothes that look nice here (skinny pants) and things like that.
Most of all I can just really tell after one tour that this is definitely where God wants me and I have never felt more convicted that He is preparing me through EP to do a ministry for Him when I get back to the states :)
Miss you all!
